Meet The IHN

At the Indigenous Health Network, we believe in the power of community and collaboration. We value the insights, perspectives, and contributions of our members and team, who are committed to advancing Indigenous health and wellness. If you would like to learn more about members of the IHN or their organizations, or connect with us to discuss potential partnerships or collaborations, we would love to hear from you. Meet Our Co-Chairs

Jessica Durand

IHN Co-Chair

Jessica Durand is Oji-Cree, French and Scottish Heritage from the bear clan. Her spirit name is Kikinohamaagewikwe ᑭᑭᓄᐦᐊᒪᑫᐏᑵ which translated means woman who shares/teaches knowledge. Jessica believes that we all play a vital role and responsibility in this world, as she plays many, aside from being Co-Chair of the IHN, she is the Indigenous Mental Health and Wellness Coordinator/Manager at the Fort Erie Native Friendship Centre, a wife, mother of 3, an avid beader and a part-time student. These are just a few of the things you will see her doing. Overall health and well-being have been a passion and priority of hers for many years and she has expressed her gratitude to be able to serve our community.
